Stroller Strides/Stroller Barre Instructor

Finding Fit4Mom was a stroke of luck for me. After an average pregnancy, I struggled with a very difficult labor followed by a C-section. Returning to exercise was a one-step-forward-two-steps-back journey for me that was often frustrating and discouraging. I had heard about stroller workouts through word of mouth and decided I needed to check it out. The fact that Stroller Strides was geared specifically for pre and postnatal women really appealed to me. I thought, “Finally! I wish I had known about this months ago!” I brought my daughter Lucy (then 8 months) to class and it exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was inviting, positive, non-judgmental, and tailored to what my postnatal body needed. I felt stronger, happier and more energized than I had since becoming a new mom.

Exercise has long been a hobby of mine. Growing up, I was a gymnast and cheerleader; then during college, I was introduced to kickboxing and martial arts. After earning my First Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and AFAA Group Exercise Instructor certification, I began teaching exercise classes as a kickboxing instructor. I am also an elementary special education teacher, and love to bring the philosophy that ‘we all have special needs of some kind’ into my exercise classes. After taking Stroller Strides, I couldn’t wait to get my certification with Fit4Mom. My passion for Pilates and yoga inspired me to then get certified in Stroller Barre, which has given me even more strength for motherhood.

Fit4Mom is a real gem. I love being part of the Fit4Mom team because I want to be able to share the positive experience I have had here with other moms who may need a boost, are looking for a workout that fits their new lifestyle, or just want to have fun and feel great!
