February's Motivating Mom of the Month

We are so excited to introduce our February Motivating Mom of the Month! We love this mama's "keeping it real" attitude, her kindness, her sense of humor and her willingness to push herself in her workouts. Thanks for being part of our village!

"One of Gina's many positive qualities is her ability to Keep It Real!! Veteran and new moms alike look to her for the down to Earth reality check she is always ready to give. Gina is a model for "listening to your body", and is always ready to take things up a notch". -Instructor Sarah

"Gina is always ready to chat with anyone working out near her! Her outgoing nature makes everyone feel welcome and her humor brings joy and laughter to the classes". -Instructor Meghan

"You can always look to Gina to take things up to the next level, be it hovering, holding, humor or heels! I can count on her in all of my classes as a source of good, fun, positive energy!"- Instructor Lisa

Get to Know Gina:

1. Who are the members of your family?

Myself, my husband Keith, Logan, and our cat Samson

2. What is/was your career?

I used to run a restaurant but now I stay home to raise Logan

3. List 3 of your favorite things:

my family, food, and Stroller Strides

4. What would your partner say is your best quality?

(I had to ask him) he said My ability to adapt to any situation.

5. How long have you been a member of FIT4MOM Southeast Fairfield County, and what has it done for you?

This June will be 2 years. It's helped me, obviously to get more fit; but also to get out of the house to see other people and get moving when there may not be anything else to do- (an activity a day is a lifesaver for a stay at home mom)

6.What is your favorite class exercise?

I like a challenge so a little friendly competition is always good.

7. What is something that has surprised you about motherhood?

It's ability to constantly teach me new things about myself.

8. What is your proudest mommy moment so far?

My proudest mommy moment isn't one specific time it's a collection of moments; the first time he rolled over, the first time he shared, the first time he said thank you. Watching him grow and become a real person makes me proud.

9.Any advice for other moms out there?

Yes! Every mom has a bad day; no one is perfect all the time. Don't be so hard on yourself, you're doing the best you can!
