Owner/Instructor Fit4Mom SE Fairfield County

Stroller Strides, Stroller Barre, Body Back, Run Coach, Fit4Baby Certified Pre and Post-Natal Fitness Instructor.

Before becoming a mom, I was a middle school teacher and high school lacrosse and field hockey coach. After having my first son, I opted to extend my maternity leave and stay home with him full time. I was introduced to Stroller Strides in 2011 when my oldest son was just 6 weeks old. Instantly, I was hooked! I loved how Stroller Strides combined two of my favorite things, my son and working out! Stroller Strides had everything I was looking for as a new mom; an opportunity to exercise, a reason to get out of the house everyday, playgroups and friends for my little guy and an amazing network of kind, supportive and fabulous moms who helped me navigate the challenges of being a new mom.

Immediately after taking a few classes, I knew teaching Stroller Strides would be a great fit for me. I became an instructor when my son was 6 months old, teaching Stroller Strides classes in Greenwich, Stamford, Darien and Norwalk. As a Fairfield resident this was one...

Stroller Strides/Stroller Barre Instructor

FIT4MOM changed my life as a mom.

As a new mother, I was struggling with the physical and emotional effects of a traumatic labor and delivery, then shakily started navigating the care of a newborn. I felt alone and yearned to connect with other mothers and children.

Enter FIT4MOM!!! I had heard about stroller workouts through word of mouth and decided I needed to check it out. I brought my daughter Lucy (then 8 months) to class and it exceeded my expectations. Everything about my experience was so extremely positive! I had never felt so welcome, supported and understood as a new mom as I did that day. And the workout was intense!I felt energized, strong, and I loved that it was tailored to my postnatal body.

Fast forward a year and I was pregnant again with my second baby! It was very exciting for me to be able to teach and take Stroller Strides and Stroller Barre classes while pregnant and it had a huge impact on my health and energy. I credit my very successful and empowering birth experience with my son Anthony to how FIT4MOM classes prepared my...

Stroller Strides Instructor

I’ve dedicated nearly half of my life to two things that I love: teaching and exercise. Prior to becoming a mom, I was a middle school educator for 18 years. During this time I was fortunate enough to work with my students beyond the classroom walls, coaching hundreds of runners (and “non-runners”) to 5K success, leading summer teen "bootcamps" and designing yoga programs for kids. I was dedicated to building trusting relationships and instilling confidence and strength in each and every one of my student-athletes, and thrilled to have the opportunity to do the same with the Fit4Mom community.

I was 40 years old when my son Luca was born. Despite my “advanced maternal age” and spinal injuries from a pretty serious car accident 10 years ago, I had an incredibly strong and healthy pregnancy. I attribute this success to my active, healthy lifestyle, one that involved daily exercise and good nutrition. Needless to say, I was eager to get back to the gym once I was cleared to exercise, but that was easier said than done. Leaving my son was hard enough, but scheduling the time to...

Stroller Strides Instructor

I am so excited and surprised to find myself in the role of Stroller Strides Instructor! I had been a preschool and elementary teacher for 10 years before giving birth to my son in November and have found that my whole world has shifted and opened up new opportunities, one of which is joining this amazing community of Moms and finding a new source of inspiration in the daily Stroller Strides and Stroller Barre classes and community surrounding Fit4Mom.

I was a dancer, a runner and a yoga instructor before becoming pregnant and had thought that returning to exercise after giving birth would be no problem! I was surprised by how difficult I found it to find the time, motivation and energy as a new Mom. Finding Stroller Strides and Courtney Cataldo became my answer as I finally found a way in which I could exercise and be with my new son all at the same time. As well, as a new resident of Fairfield County (having recently moved out of New York City) and a new stay at home mom, I had been worried about feeling lonely and isolated. Fit4Mom classes provided me with a community...

I have always been active playing field hockey in college and coaching field hockey and lacrosse at the high school level. I knew once I made the decision to stay home with my son I would have to shift my focus. That was when I made the decision to become a Fit4mom instructor.

I moved to Trumbull with my husband Patrick right before I had my son Connor. I quickly found myself overwhelmed with the everyday duties of a first time parent and I felt very alone. After having a c-section and feeling very drained, I knew I need to find something, something to get me out of the house and something that would engage me and my son. Fit4Mom quickly became part of our everyday routine. It gave me strength and life. It truly gave me a place where I had friends who may or may not have slept more then me the night before but we were all there for the same purpose. It helped me not only talk about a healthy lifestyle but to live it.
